Zinedine Zidane will be the next ‘Alex Ferguson’ for Manchester United

Manchester United have been struggling to find its best of form early on in the season. They have lost two games out of three. Despite making some new big signings in the summer transfer window Erik ten Hag has failed to make the best of the footballers so far. INEOS management has done its job and they might want results from the Dutch manager.

Despite backing him for another season, the management openly courted other managers. Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Gareth Southgate were among those considered by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his advisors. However, they decided to go with Ten Hag for yet another season. But the manager has failed to impress the management so far. Though INEOS has yet again backed the manager the fans are also not happy with him staying.

Amidst all these Zinedine Zidane was once rumoured and interested to be taking the seat of the 54-year-old manager. He was spotted attending a training session at Real Betis. It has sparked rumours that he could be preparing for a return to the dugout this week. Zizou sat in the dugout in 2021 since then he has not been coaching. However, after his return to the training ground, there is speculation that he might replace Ten Hag at United.

Zinedine Zidane can transform Manchester United

Will Zinedine Zidane’s arrival at the Old Trafford be a royal switch for the club? The former France national team captain has been sensational as a manager. He has the experience of winning silverware in Spain with Real Madrid. Under him, the Spanish Giants won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles. Zizou’s masterclass might help the block counterattack reform and work better.

Zidane’s name remains associated with Manchester United, but the club’s chief executive, Omar Berrada, has backed Ten Hag. If the poor form continues then the management might be looking beyond the Dutch coach and start initial talks with the French manager for the middle of the season. However, the question remains will he be able to manage a team which is drowning with their form.
