Bundesliga-Khel Now partnership a smart move or sign of Indian Football’s decline

Bundesliga is top 5 leagues in world football. The German top-tier league has produced some of the greatest football stars. From the likes of Franz Beckenbauer to Jamal Musiala it has seen some mesmerising skills and quality from the footballers over the years. Bayern Munich are the most successful side in the league’s history. However, Bayer Leverkusen came in as a surprise last season to win the league.

The league has extended its content partnership with Khel Now for another year. It prepares to bring more Bundesliga action to fans in India and the Indian subcontinent in the 2024-25 season. The collaboration means Khel Now will continue to have access to some industry-leading offerings. Including the world’s largest digital football library. A multitude of localised, ready-to-use content to inform and delight Indian football fans.

The media company is a part of the part of the Anglian Omega Group. They connect the fans and the sports enthusiast with their favourite sports and leagues from around the world. The company was launched back in 2016 and has grown to become one of India’s biggest digital platforms when it comes to football content. Especially how the team covers the Indian football part.

Khel Now and Bundesliga to create breathtaking content

Dennis Kittel, Head of Southeast Asia & India, Bundesliga International, said, “The German and Indian cultures are connected by their passion for the sport. Electric atmospheres and incredible sporting heritage are present throughout both countries, and that is just one of the reasons we are so committed to supporting the growth of the Bundesliga, and the development of football as a whole throughout India.”

Beginning of last year Khel Now focused on delivering a fan-focused offering, with fan-led preview shows and exclusive “watch along” for the Bundesliga’s biggest matches. They have been working uniquely. They will now use their range of social and digital media outlets to showcase the best of the Bundesliga.
