They were knocked out of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League as well. However, they qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the forthcoming season after winning the FA Cup.
Under the new INEOS management, Manchester United has been transforming under Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Ahead of the upcoming season, the side has made multiple additions to his team throughout the transfer window. The club recently signed two defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. They were on target for the club from the opening of the transfer window. The first signing for the new season was Lenny Yoro, then Joshua Zirkzee. A total of 4 signings have been done so far for the new season.
Ten Hag will be reuniting with all of his former Ajax footballers at Old Trafford. The Dutch manager has almost made an Ajax academy at the theatre of dreams. Some footballers were earlier present in the side Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Andre Onana, Antony. With the recent addition of the two defenders United now has 6 footballers from the Dutch club.
