In the state-level junior taekwondo tournament, teams from Pune in the Kyorugi category and Mumbai Suburban in the Poomsay category won the title. The host Beed athletes recorded a brilliant performance and bagged four silver medals. Ratnagiri’s Rhea Mayekar and Amravati’s Prathamesh Maknar were honored with the Best Player Award of the tournament.
In this competition, the Pune team won 14 gold medals in the Kyorogy category and won the title. The Ratnagiri team won 3 gold medals and finished runner-up. The Mumbai Suburban team won the third position.
In the Poomsay category, the Mumbai Suburban team won the tournament by winning 3 gold medals. Raigad team won the runner-up position of the tournament while Palghar team won the third position of the tournament. The host BEED athletes also recorded a brilliant performance with 4 silver medals.
Dr. Sarikatai Kshirsagar conducted the prize distribution ceremony of the 34th Maharashtra State Junior Taekwondo Tournament organized by the Taekwondo Association of Beed with the approval of the Taekwondo Association of Maharashtra, Mumbai.
On this occasion, District Sports Officer Pandit Chavan, District Association President Nitin Kotecha, Dr. Elias Khan, Adv Shafiq Sheikh, Social Welfare Officer Pramod Sanap, Government Competition Inspector Sports Officer Aniket Kale, Taekwondo Association of Maharashtra Mumbai President Dr. Avinash Bargaje, General Secretary Milind Pathare, Shiv Chhatrapati Award winners Praveen Borse, Treasurer Venkatesh Karra, Satish Khemskar, Neeraj Borse, etc were present.
