IPL 2025: 4 players Rajasthan Royals will retain ahead of mega auction

Indian Premier League (IPL) has given rise to many young cricketers for India. Over the years the tournament has seen generational talents taking on the field. The toughest T20 league in the world witnessed some mind-boggling battles among cricketers across the world. The young guns look to firepower against some of the established cricketers in the league. This is what it makes one of the most entertaining leagues.

The rich cash league had a scintillating last edition, and the fans hope for a better season in 2025. All franchises will be will be re-shuffled once again. The mega auction will take place in the 2025 edition. The 10 teams can only retain four cricketers and do one Right-to-Match card. This is the decision as of now. They will have the chance to buy out their former players. More cricketers will be going under the hammer than the usual numbers as the teams need to rebuild almost from scratch. 

Rajasthan Royals (RR) was one of the most balanced sides in the last edition. However, they collapsed in the later phase of the league. Despite being at the top of the table they fumbled and some matches were also washed out. They lost in the Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They will have some big names to be retained. We will take a look at the players that will be retained by the side.

4. Jos Buttler 

Jos Buttler has been stuck with the franchise for many years. He has been excellent so far for the Royals. Buttler known for his exceptional hitting skills could only firepower a little in the last edition. But he has all the experience under him and the Men in Pink will not let that go away under the hammer. The England white-ball captain will be retained. 

3. Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag has re-established himself in the middle order for the Royals. He scored 573 runs with an excellent average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 149.22. Parag was the pillar for the success of the team last season. He controlled the innings in the middle overs and played some excellent shots down the slog overs. The Royals will not let their best batter from last season go. 

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal 

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been one of the best openers for India across formats now. But he gained popularity by playing for the Royals over the years and has been an explosive batter. Jaiswal has 435 runs for the franchise with an average of 31.07. He underperformed as per the expectations despite scoring a century. The Southpaw would like to become better next season.  

1. Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson has been Mr. Dependable for the franchise. The skipper has made the side perform excellently in the recent few years. He also qualified for the final loss of Gujarat Titans (GT). Samson will look to bring back the trophy. They since 2008 has failed to win the silverware. He will be the first player to be retained by the side.
