The cyclists of Maharashtra have performed spectacularly in the last five years in the cycling sport. The cyclists of Maharashtra are making their mark in international competitions. Rajya Sabha MP Sunetra Pawar asserted that this is a matter of pride for Maharashtra. On the occasion of the birthday of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajitdada Pawar, the Pune to Baramati National Cycle Competition was organized in association with the Cycling Association of Maharashtra, Pune District Education Board.
After the opening ceremony of this competition. MP Sunetra Pawar invited the general secretary of the Asian Cycling Confederation Omkar Singh. She was also felicitated with a memento on behalf of the Cycling Federation of India.
The General Secretary of the Cycling Federation of India Maninder Pal Singh, Vice President Pratap Jadhav, and Praveen Patil to discuss ‘Jijai’. CFI General Secretary Maninder Pal Singh said on the occasion that unfortunately there is no cycling velodrome in Maharashtra for practice and competition. However, Maharashtra Cycle Pattu has been performing brilliantly in international track competitions.
Omkar Singh assures better facilities in Cycling
Omkar Singh expressed the belief that there is very good quality and that the cyclists of Maharashtra get proper facilities and facilities. He also believes that they will consistently perform medal-winning performances in international competitions in the future. He requested MP Sunetra Pawar to be active in this sport for the interest of cycling sport in Maharashtra. Pratap Jadhav of the Cycling Association of Maharashtra informed Sunetra Pawar about the performance of cyclists in Maharashtra.
MP Sunetra Pawar assured the audience that. “We will pay attention to the cycling sport in Maharashtra and try to solve the problems of the cyclists.” She said, “Our focus will be on organizing various level competitions”. He emphasized organizing maximum quality state and national level competitions to give experience to the players.
