Yograj Shinde and Naman Sakhre, talented young archers from the Archery Academy in Solapur, recently clinched gold medals at the prestigious state archery competition.
Yograj Shinde delivered an outstanding performance in the Under 13 category, scoring an impressive 345 out of 360 points. His remarkable skill and dedication earned him the top spot and the gold medal in this fiercely contested event held in Amravati. Equally commendable was Naman Sakhre, who secured the gold medal in the individual category with a stellar performance.
Both athletes have shown remarkable progress under the expert guidance of their coach, Deepak Chikane. Coach Chikane’s mentorship and training have been instrumental in shaping these young talents into champions. The Archery Academy, with its focus on nurturing and developing budding archers, has once again proven its mettle in producing top-tier athletes.
The achievements of Yograj and Naman were celebrated by several prominent figures in the archery community and beyond. Darishsheel Mohite Patil, the President of the Solapur District Archery Association and a Member of Parliament, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the young archers. Haridas Randive, Vice President of the State Archery Association, also commended their exceptional performances. Additionally, Prof. Santosh Gawli and Prof. Sachin Gaikwad, both guides at the Academy, expressed their pride in the accomplishments of their students and wished them continued success in future competitions.
Shinde’s victory holds special significance for his family. His father, Bhagwat Shinde, serves as a police constable and has himself represented the national bodybuilding team this year. Bhagwat’s achievements in the realm of bodybuilding, coupled with Yograj’s success in archery, highlight a family tradition of excellence in sports.
