When how and where to watch the Paris Olympics 2024 in India?

Paris Olympics 2024 will start from 26th July and will go on till 11 August 2024. The multinational event will be hosted by France with Paris being the main city. It includes the neighbouring cities of Saint-Denis, Le Bourget, Nanterre, Versailles, Vaires-sur-Marne, Bordeaux, Décines-Charpieu (Lyon), Nantes, Nice, and Saint-Étienne. There will be some 10,714 participants in the 329 events of 32 sports. 

Around 120 athletes will be participating from India. The whole nation will be hoping for a better performance than last time. They won 7 medals in Tokyo which was the most in the nation’s history. But this time they are expecting to get more in the major event. 

The Paris Olympics will end on Sunday, August 11, with the closing ceremony, following medal contests in 13 different sports, including weightlifting, archery, and wrestling. Due to the time zone difference, the fans in India will see the Games conclude in the early hours of Monday, August 12.

Where and how can you watch the Olympics on TV or online platforms in India?

Viacom 18 has been the official broadcast and digital partner for the event. The event will be broadcast on Sports18 networks in India and provide coverage to both local and worldwide audiences. Sports18-1 will broadcast events in English, with Tamil and Telugu available through language selection. Sports18 – 2 will concentrate on Hindi coverage. 

Whereas Sports18 – 3 will offer a global action feed. JioCinema will give free live streaming of the Paris Olympics 2024 in India beginning July 26. Viewers can enjoy commentary in a variety of languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, similar to what is offered on television.

When will India begin their campaign in the Olympics? 

The first event for the 1.44 billion country will be on the 25th of July. The nation will be participating in the Archery, Women’s Individual Ranking Round, and Men’s Individual Ranking Round. The event will start at 1 PM IST.
