Shrutika Chavan Secures Gold at National Under 19 Fencing Championship

In a remarkable feat of skill and determination, Shrutika Chavan emerged victorious, clinching the gold medal in the saber team event at the 67th National Under 19 Fencing Championship held in Jammu. Representing the saber girl team of Maharashtra, Shrutika showcased exceptional prowess, leading her team to victory in a series of competitive matches.

The saber team, under Shrutika’s leadership, exhibited remarkable performance by defeating formidable opponents on their path to glory. In the final match, Maharashtra’s saber team triumphed over Tamil Nadu with a score of 15-9, followed by victories against Gujarat (15-12), Haryana (15-13), and Jammu (15-10), ultimately securing the coveted gold medal.

Shrutika Chavan, a talented player associated with the All Star Fencing Club, credited her success to the mentorship of Pawan Bhosale.
