In the face-off, Manthan Ghodekar of D’Souza High School displayed a strong start with an 8-0 lead, winning the first two boards. However, the momentum shifted when Sarthak Mohiti, delivering a flawless performance, secured a 13-8 victory, propelling Sir Eli Kaduri School to a 1-0 lead. The singles matches followed, with Mayur Goregaonkar defeating Aditya Sherkar 14-2, and Yakub Mulla overpowering Atharva Deokar 12-0, sealing a comprehensive 3-0 win for Sir Eli Kaduri School.
As the Super League Qualifying Round beckons, eight school carrom teams from the East Mumbai division, including Afac English School-Chembur, Shree Hashu Advani Memorial School-Govandi, Narayan Guru Vidyalaya-Chembur, RST Madhyamik Vidyalaya-Govandi, Ses Michael School, Kumud Vidyalaya English School, will vie for qualification.
