The free-style and Greco-Roman men’s and women’s wrestling teams of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University are set to showcase their prowess at the upcoming South Western Regional Wrestling Tournament in Mohali. The teams, led by head coach Nilesh Raut and team manager Dr. Chandrasekhar Game, are geared up for the rigorous competition.
The coaching staff, including assistant coach Mahesh Kale, has meticulously prepared a lineup of skilled athletes for the tournament. The team comprises notable wrestlers such as Sanjay Mohare, Mayur Chaudhary, Yash Kotagale, Anshul Kumbhalkar, Ajay Wade, Kalyani Mohare, Ashita Manohare, Nikita Langewar, Anjali Gajbhiye, Renu Deshmukh, Sanskriti Chaudhary, Saurabh Ghumankhede, and Sakshi Kadukar.
As the team departed for Mohali, Dilip Itankar, President of Star Wrestling Academy, extended his congratulations to the coaches, team managers, and players, presenting them with bouquets. Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University Sports Director Dr. Sharad Suryavanshi, along with Dr. Surendra Tiwari and Dr. Praveen Patil, conveyed their best wishes and congratulations to all the selected players.
