At Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan’s bowlers exhibited superb form, restricting New Zealand to just 90 runs. Pakistan efficiently chased down the target within the 13th over, losing only three wickets, affirming their dominance in the five-match series.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Pakistan’s bowlers showcased remarkable prowess from the onset. Shaheen Afridi (3/13) led the charge with exceptional bowling, well-supported by Mohammad Amir (2/13) and Abrar Ahmed (2/15). New Zealand’s batting lineup struggled to make an impact, with only Mark Chapman (19) and Cole McKeonchee (15) managing to reach double figures. Despite the dismissal of Usman Khan for 7 runs, Pakistan clinched victory thanks to a vital contribution from Iftikhar Ahmed (18).
