The election of the Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association was held uncontested. Sanjivraje Naik-Nimbalkar has been elected as President and Chandrajit Jadhav as General Secretary. Sachin Godbole has been elected as the working president and Govind Sharma as the treasurer.
The election was announced for the period 2024 to 2028. The election was conducted uncontested on Sunday as no one applied for various posts in this election. Election Officer Dheeraj Sopanrao Kolhe announced that all office bearers and members have been elected unopposed in the elections conducted at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports City, Auditorium, Balewadi Pune. Nitin Kothari of Indore was present in this election as an observer of the Khokho Federation of India.
MS Tyagi, General Secretary of the Indian Kho Kho Federation was a special presence on this occasion. Today, Khokho is being played in 49 countries and national Kho Kho associations have been established in 37 countries, where Khokho is being played regularly. Tyagi explained while guiding the meeting, Khokho World Cup will soon be organized until the end of 2024.
Upkar Singh (Joint Secretary, Indian Kho Kho Federation) and Anil Zodge (Joint Secretary, Maharashtra Olympic Association) presided over the meeting as election observers. Sanjeevaraje Naik-Nimbalkar congratulated all the candidates who won the election, while Chandrajit Jadhav expressed his gratitude to all the candidates.
