Nagpur’s Aquatic Adventure Unfurls Republic Day Flag 70 Feet Underwater

In an awe-inspiring celebration of Republic Day, Nagpur witnessed a unique aquatic spectacle as the Ambazari Water Protection and Conservation Committee, along with the Shark Aquatic Sporting Association, embarked on an extraordinary flag hoisting mission 70 feet below the surface of Ambazari Lake.

Diving into an aquatic adventure, Nagpur redefined Republic Day celebrations with an unconventional flag hoisting at Ambazari Lake. Shekhar Sathe, the convener of Ambazari Water Protection and Conservation Committee, led the way as the tricolor was raised at the center of the lake, atop a pillar submerged 70 feet deep in water.

The unique display drew the attention of citizens, crowding the Ambazari lake shore to witness this underwater patriotic extravaganza. Swimmers from Nagpur showcased their love for the nation by swimming 500 meters from the lake’s edge to participate in the flag climb.

Differently-abled swimmers, Eshwari Kamlesh Pandey and Akshay Yewle, demonstrated remarkable spirit as they joined in the flag salute.Patriotic slogans echoed across the lake as the swimmers paid tribute to the nation in this unconventional ceremony.
