50 Crore Sanctioned For Sports Complexes In The State

For the construction of the existing District Sports Complex in the state, the Sports Department of the State Government has sanctioned Rs 50 crore for the construction of three Divisional Sports Complex and 4 District Sports Complex. Among them, the highest amount of funds has been received for Latur Divisional Sports Complex of Rs.20 crores and Rs.8 crores for Solapur District Sports Complex.

Instructions have been given that this fund should be spent with the approval of the prescribed authorities as well as the State Sports Development Committee as per the requirements of the construction plan and revised budget.

Synthetic track at Solapur

District Sports Officer Narendra Pawar informed that the process of synthetic track work will be started in the District Sports Complex at Kumtha Naka. He said that out of 15, 8 crores has been received by the District Sports Office and the process will be started soon. He also said that out of the 5 architects determined by the government, 3 architects will be given a letter to prepare the plan and estimate and the tender process will be started according to the plan and estimate of the architect who has the least estimate.

District Sports Complex Committee President Collector Kumar Ashirwad followed up on this and submitted a proposal of 15 crores. Accordingly, a fund of 8 crores has been approved.

Divisional Sports Complex : Nagpur (2.80 crore), Amravati (5 crore), Latur (2 crore).

District Sports Complex: Nagpur (6.20 crore), Chandrapur (3 crore), Solapur (8 crore), Ratnagiri (5 crore).
