5 Players SRH Need To Complete Their Unfulfilled Destiny

Sunrisers Hyderabad were the team that defined IPL 2024. They demolished each and every team that came their way and were the perpetrators of some massive totals never seen before in the History of the IPL. Their openers and entire batting order seldom faltered in delivering a bashing to the opposition bowlers. But the one time they did falter, was unfortunately in the Finals against Kolkata Knight Riders. A poor start to the SRH innings in the end led to them losing the Final.

With the IPL 2025 Mega Auction approaching fast, SRH will have a plan laid out on how they can strengthen the core they already have and aim to win the 2025 IPL. So let’s look at 5 players that the Men In Orange will aim for at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

1. Rahul Chahar

Currently, SRH does not have a single quality spinner and at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, spin can decide matches on a whim. In that case banking on Rahul Chahar, who has been a part of the IPL for some time now, and with some International experience under his belt, he could be a go-to option for SRH.

The amount of players Punjab Kings has released, with Rahul Chahar being one of them, suggests that they won’t likely go for their former player using RTM. This gives SRH the prime oppurtunity to go for Rahul Chahar. His wrist-spin could come in handy in the middle overs to restrict opponents and even pick up important wickets.

2. Mohammad Siraj

In a very surprising turn of events, Royal Challengers Bangalore let go of Mohammad Siraj, someone who bled Red & Gold through and through. But while it will surely prove to be a loss for RCB, it looks like an opportunity for SRH, who can look to snatch him up for a grand homecoming of the local lad. The experience Mohammad Siraj brings to the table while also beinf relatively young will prove to be crucial for SRH.

The right arm fast has a knack of picking crucial wickets at either end of the the innings. And Siraj Miyan bowling in tandem with the skipper Pat Cummins spells only one thing for the opposition batsmen: Fear.

3. Abdul Samad

With a powerful batting lineup already at their disposal including the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, they only need a reliable finisher to complete the batting order. And why look further than someone who has been with them for the past couple of season now.

Abdul Samad would prove to be the perfect RTM retention for SRH. As he most probably would come in cheaper than whatever SRH would want. Moreover, Samad is an amazing fielder and would be a wonderful asset to have for any IPL team.

4. Krunal Pandya

If the SRH batting lineup of last season had any weakness, it was the lack of someone who could hold together an innings that is crumbling. If they can get someone who patches up this weakness, and on top of that who can give them quality left-arm off-spin for four overs, that would be a bargain. And that is exactly what Krunal Pandya offers.

With all the players Lucknow Super Giants can go for to exercise their RTM option, Krunal Pandya will be the least likely one. Hence, he would be a great pick for SRH and would fit into the team instantly.

5. Marco Jansen

The tall lanky pacer can be very handy when some quick runs need to be put on the board. Moreover, he is much different than any bowler due to his gigantic frame. He is a headache for those who cannot play the short ball and there are many who struggle against that. The South African played for Sunrisers Hyderabad last season and made some memorable contributions for the side.

He would complete the bowling attack along with Pat Cummins, Mohammad Siraj, Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya hence becoming the perfect pick for SRH.
